Ah yes, spring. Quite a crowd pleaser, isn’t it. In fact, pretty much everybody I talk to, regarding weather and seasons, everybody seems to have a clear favourite. Spring seems to be the best friend. We have a relationship, which we don’t even question. Spring just IS the best season. No doubt. So here are some 5 things you can do in these transitional times, to get ready for spring!
I. Probably one of the best things about spring is, that you can finally see that big lamp in the sky again. That fresh package of vitamin D just gives you that extra energy, that you can use to save some money on coffee spending (Still, I wouldn’t give up my café sessions). Just go out, leave your things – or even better! Take your work outside: Grab your Laptop and write those emails in the park. You could also just take some friends with you and a crate of beer. Your choice, no judgement.
Personally, I love using this natural source of light for photography issues. I really try to get the most out of each shot by taking advancing of this extra boost to get a crisp and contrast rich shot. Also, shooting outfits outside is much easier!
II. I know, some of you probably can’t wait to get out those short sleeves, skirts and shorts. But still! Spring is probably your last chance to get some wear out of those heavy coats. Don’t wait around, it’s getting warmer way faster than you think. So don’t get fooled by sunshine and growing grass and gear up.
Especially if you are still(!) looking for an affordable coat, you should take a look at H&M and Asos clearance section. Transitional times are a great way to find some great pieces for a low price, so be sure to take a look!
III. As we talked earlier, Spring is the time, when the sun comes back out again. Be prepared at all time! A perfect investment would be a polaroid instant camera, since you can catch those summerly spirits. But you know, in Spring (Who will care about the specifics 10 years later?).
IV. For me, Spring is all about locality. You don’t need foreign lands to see the sun and you also don’t need to buy goods from across the world either. Be on the lookout for any farmers markets in your area! I really is worth spending the extra buck just to get those fresh ingredients.
V. Finally, the most important part. Time. Use it. If you don’t have it. Take it. Spring is only here once a year anyways! You will be so sorry if you missed your chance to really feel mellow and get into the Spring vibe. So don’t worry about appointments, dues or anything else. Just enjoy!
